History:
"My name is Kidagakash."
"Ki-ki-kidamaschnaga... Uh, hey, you got a nickname?"
"Kida."
"Okay, Kida. I can remember that."
Personality:
A kind woman, and a wise queen, Kida lives for the greater good, and desires a better life for not only her people, but for the entire world as well. She has affection and warmth for her people, and that she’s treated so warmly and casually by her fellow Atlanteans, shows that she does not hold her title above any other person, or favor or devotion, but rather, her own devotion to the people. A queen is not lavished or gifted, but a warrior and guardian for her people—meaning that, whatever befalls Atlantis, like her father, she is willing to put the responsibility on her shoulders and deal to the best of her capabilities.
Kida is a curious creature, having turned aside her vicious and anti-outsider front that most of her people adopted, to instead welcome the outsiders lead by Milo Thatch, into Atlantis. After thousands of years of being princess of Atlantis, Kida found that she did not enjoy the routine contentment that most Atlanteans, and her father, preferred. She scavenged the city and the caves, searching for answers to her questions that her father would not answer, and her people could not answer. It frustrated her to no end that she could not read Ancient Atlantean, or venture to the surface. Trapped inside a jamjar setting for thousands upon thousands of years, she lived young, restless, and so very hungry for knowledge.
When Milo Thatch enters Atlantis, Kida sees her chance to learn, and learn she does! She asks Milo questions upon questions, and curiosity mounted as, with Milo’s help, Kida uncovered pieces of Atlantean history long hidden. When she discovered the truth of the Heart of Atlantis, Kida was finally able to understand the truth behind her mother’s disappearance, her father’s secrecy, and as well, the arrogance and horrible truth that her people had brought about trouble in the world. When Atlantis was in dire trouble, Kida was willing to sacrifice her life for Atlantis’ sake. She’s selfless, caring, and her father’s death practically put her over the edge until Milo was able to rescue her from the mayhem. Literally. Kida has even thrown herself in the line of fire for a man trying to end the world, because she believed it was the right thing to do.
She approaches new things with an open mind and little caution. Some may say she’s somewhat impulsive, though friendly, especially in regards to Milo Thatch, her friend, lover, and eventually, husband. She is overjoyed when she comes to the surface world, and quickly leads Milo a bit on a follow-up run to keep up with her constantly moving feet and wide eyes. However, when those she cares about, Milo, her friends or her people, are in danger, she can be quite ferocious at the turn of a heel. She’s not afraid of shoving a spear in someone’s face if it means saving her loved ones. Neither will she reject the idea of killing someone if they cause too much trouble—but she’s also taken a more lenient trial of giving warnings, though, after one warning too many, she will retaliate as justly as a queen should.
Kida demonstrates true humility when she willingly accepts the burden of Atlantis’ responsibilities for chaos in the world. When chaos happens outside of Atlantis, with Atlantean connotations, she urges Milo to take her to the surface world so she can attempt to right the wrongs committed by Atlantis. As time goes by, she comes to realize that as Atlantis played a part in the chaos of the world, it also helped bring new discovery and life and to bring Kida to the realization that Atlantis belonged above the waters upon the surface, and brings the city to the surface.
Abilities/Strengths:
Kida is a warrior and queen. She knows how to defend herself, as well as hunt, forage, and even govern. She is very strong, able to even leave a tall, muscular medic out of breath from one hug, and even fast and agile, as she's chased flying creatures throughout Atlantis as she grew. There is also her crystal, which preserves her life and grants her near immortality.
Weaknesses:
If you remove the crystal from Kida, then she's more susceptible to damage. She becomes more fragile, but not quite weak enough to fell with one blow. It's all a matter of time, in which, if she's without her crystal for several days, then she'll slowly fade with age.
Her curiosity can also lead her into danger quite a bit.
ARCANARUM
Story: The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter
Story Character: Kaguya
Plans: Besides the fact that Kida's hair is "white like the moon", she also comes from a very far and ancient place much like Kaguya, only Kida is from Atlantis, while Kaguya is from the moon. Still, in Japanese folklore, the moon is said to be a wondrous city on its own, with royalty and power and beauty...somewhat a beginning for humanity, or what humanity could have had. Kida is the same, from the ancient city who taught practically the entire world their customs and teachings. Language, lessons, words...it all starts with Atlantis.

Third Person: This plant, this-this bAHM-BOO... was a little sticky, but that could be because of the large PAN-duhs pulling at the stocks with their wet, furry paws. Kida is careful to not get too close. The other day, she'd been just a few meters too close to one of the creatures, and he'd almost taken Kida's hair with the bAHM-BOO. It had not been a pleasant experience pulling her hair from paws and then ducking away before the large creature could snap his muzzle.
Kida moves her hair over her shoulder, the colorful stick-things (also used for food, as she had found out after being given them to eat a meal with) behind her ears, after deciding that the silly arrangement made for her earlier (it had been a little difficult to balance with all such ornaments) was not sensible.
"Ah, too confusing," she says to herself as she pushes a hand against a stock of bAHM-BOO, parting stocks to reveal the little village beyond the forest. Soon, from the little house farther up the hill, a man would emerge, carrying a large weapon, and waddle down to the forest, just as he would every other time.
Kida smoothes back her kimono's sleeves and pushes at the stocks, eyes still upon the little house on the hill, just as the front door opens!
Time to start.
